On the afternoon of November 27, the Labor Union of the University of Law, Hue University, in coordination with the People’s Committee of An Cựu Ward, organized a program on legal awareness and counseling on gender equality and the prevention of domestic violence, and distributed gifts to disadvantaged households in the area.

Attending the program, on behalf of the People’s Committee of An Cựu Ward, were Mr. Trần Viết Trung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairperson of the Ward People’s Committee; Ms. Trần Thị Mỹ Linh, Head of the Ward Department of Culture and Social Affairs, together with representatives of the ward leadership and a large number of local residents of An Cựu Ward.

On the side of the Labor Union of the University of Law, Hue University, there were Dr. Trần Văn Hải, Senior Lecturer and Chairperson of the University’s Labor Union, together with members of the Executive Committee of the Labor Union.

The program aimed to help raise public awareness of legal regulations related to gender equality, the rights and obligations of family members, as well as measures for preventing and addressing domestic violence. In addition to the awareness-raising activities, the University’s presenters directly engaged with participants and addressed many legal issues and concerns arising in their daily lives.

With the spirit of “HUL Labor Union – Connecting Love,” the Labor Union of the University of Law presented 30 gift packages to disadvantaged households in An Cựu Ward. These gifts reflected the University’s care and solidarity with the community, helping to provide encouragement for families to overcome their difficulties.

The activity not only affirmed the role of the Labor Union in social and community work but also strengthened the bond between the University, local authorities, and residents in the city of Huế.
