2025 DOCTORAL RESEARCH STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
Update day: 15-11-2025On the morning of November 15, 2025, the University of Law, Hue University held the 2025 Doctoral Research Student Scientific Conference to evaluate the current status of doctoral training and to provide an academic forum for doctoral candidates (PhD candidates).

In attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương, Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, Chairman of the University Council; leaders of affiliated units; and all doctoral candidates currently conducting research at the University of Law, Hue University.
Delivering the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương emphasized: “The Conference is an occasion to review the quality of doctoral training while also creating a rigorous academic environment that enables doctoral candidates to sharpen their scientific thinking, research methodologies, and presentation skills. It also provides an opportunity for the University to listen and offer maximum support to help candidates successfully complete their studies and research, meeting the doctoral training quality standards in the new period.”
Following the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Viết Long, Head of the Training Department, presented a consolidated report on the progress of doctoral training, focusing on the implementation of dissertation proposals, academic performance, and research outcomes of doctoral candidates throughout the year.

The Conference continued with reports on the professional activities of doctoral candidates, support programs for PhD students, and updates on their teaching assistantship activities. Alongside these reports, numerous discussions and exchanges from doctoral candidates and supervising faculty members focused on common challenges in the dissertation process - ranging from research approaches, literature search, and scientific publication to compliance with academic regulations.
Through these exchanges, the Conference served as an important channel for the University to gather proposals, receive feedback, and refine its procedures to provide better support for doctoral candidates in the next stages of their research journey.
